Planning application lodged for 8 year Moore Street

Hammerson, a property group, have lodged a planning application lodged for an 8 year regeneration project on Dublin’s Moore Street and O’Connell street. The designers, (Friedrich Ludewig of Acme, Grafton, RKD and MOLA) have envisaged an “open” style for the 5.5 acre site, which includes two new civic squares, a new east-west pedestrian street between O’Connell Street and Moore Street, an underground station for the new Metrolink rail line, 8,000 square metres of shops restaurants and cafes, 44,000 square metres of office space, 210 hotel rooms and 94 apartments.

It is hoped that the project will begin in 2023.
