The A4 Bypass for Enniskillen in County Fermanagh, which has been planned since 2011, will go ahead, according to Infrastructure Minister Nichola Mallon. The route, with costs estimated to be £30m, would link the A4 Dublin road and the A4 Sligo road, improve pollution levels in the town and reduce noise pollution. The preference is for a single carriageway which would also have a cycle/footway. Two new bridges and two new roundabouts would also be required.
The project is dependent on the Department for Infrastructure securing the required funding.
