Mace/Dragados will build a new £570m HS2 railway station in Birmingham’s city centre. Located on Curzon street, the great arched roofs will be a centre feature of the design done by WSP and Grimshaw Architects LLP, a nod to the Victorian railway pioneers. The site has now been cleared and the world’s oldest railway roundhouse has been uncovered. The project will create hundreds of construction jobs, providing economic stimulus to the region.
