Finn Harps Football Club in Co Donegal has been granted a provisional allocation of €4m for the construction of their Stadium via the Large Scale Sport Infrastructure Fund. The club will have to comply with a number of compliances so that the money will be released, the main one being that they raise the outstanding funds so as to cover the construction costs of the entire project.
This is great news for the club which has had relative success on the football field, but has been without a home for the past number of years. The new stadium will be a boost to the local community both socially and economically and we look forward to the turning of the first sod.
