Arora, a hotelier, has lodged a planning application for a new 410 bedroom hotel close to Terminal 2 carpark at Dublin Airport. After winning the public tender, Arora hopes to begin works in late 2021 with a view to operations commencing in 2024. The project would employ 300 workers during the construction phase and another 250 in the operating phase. With total costs estimated at €100m, it would consist of 11 stories over 30,566 square metres and would include a leisure centre with a gym, an executive lounge, a penthouse bar, a jacuzzi and sauna and meeting rooms.
