Outline Planning Permission has been granted for a £300m investment on Albert Island in London’s Docklands. The 13 hectare site will be developed by London and Regional Properties in multiple stages and will include a double storey warehouse, an engineering education hub, a major long-term storage building, a boatyard and a pier. The works will include river wall works, demolition, enabling works, installation of a pedestrian bridge and utility diversions. The intention is to grant full access to the public.
It is expected that construction will start in 2022.
