New £70m medical hub for Derry

3 D Personnel

The old Fort George army base in Derry in Northern Ireland is to be converted into a new £70m medical hub.  The plan is yet to get second stage approval by the Department of Health and affordability, however, the hope is to relocate 450 existing medical posts to the site and to create another 250 new positions upon completion.  It is expected that design stage could be completed within two years, before going to tender.
