Debt advisory group, New Beginnings is to invest €200m in the Irish social and affordable rental sector via a partnership with investment firm RoundShield. The aim is to invest in purpose-built, energy-efficient properties across the country over the next five years.
The pair formed a partnership in 2018, setting up the Irish Social Housing Fund, with a view to investing €50m in long-term leases to local authorities. In 2020 the fund secured €30m from the AIB, helping it acquire 100 homes, taking it a step closer to its goal of 1,500 homes.
