An application for planning permission for 221 homes on the 4.1-hectare former Devoy Army Barracks in Naas, Co. Kildare has been submitted to An Bord Pleanála by the Land Development Agency. Submitted via the fast-track strategic housing development legislation, the hope is to provide social and affordable homes.
The plans include 63 one-bedroom homes, 111 two-bedroom homes, 36 three-bedroom terraced houses and 11 three-bedroom homes in apartment/duplex layout. The buildings will range from 2 to 5 storeys and will also include a 59-place creche.
