Cork City and County is to receive over €400m in regeneration funds, €353m of which will be invested in the Cork City Docklands Project. The Docklands project will lead to the construction of thousands of new homes as well as public parks, leisure and cultural facilities. A new 7,700 square meter library will be built at the Grand Parade in Cork City. €5m will be invested in a regeneration project in Mallow, while the Carrigaline and Ringaskiddy areas in Cork Harbour will benefit from €1m.
