Key Assistant Quantity Surveyor role must have's
- Basic knowledge of construction and an eagerness to develop skills further
- Ability to integrate with architects, engineers and clients to ensure project success
- Desire to progress and develop higher up the construction ladder
- Excellent problem solving skills to create solutions to challenges provided
- Good teamwork where you will be working in a busy site team and help to get the project through to completion

Headline of the key elements of the Assistant Quantity Surveyor role
- Review costs of proposed projects
- Advise and communicate on potential alternative costs solutions
- Provide advice on contract arrangements and conditions under which works will be done
- Communicate and engage on the cost implications of different construction methods
- Assist with the preparation of the tendering documentation
- Assist the management of the costs associated with project lifecycle of the construction stages
- Take part in client meetings, communicating with parties involved with the projects
Key must have’s you should have as the successful Assistant Quantity Surveyor
- HND or Degree in Quantity Surveying or coming to the end of Degree
- 1 – 2 years’ experience in a Trainee Quantity Surveyor role
- Driving Licence
- Happy to travel to sites and to be office based
