Hours – 39 hours per week.
Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Mobile Building Services Operative to join a growing team. This is a varied, hands-on role that combines building maintenance, vendor coordination, and non-technical handyman services across properties. The successful candidate will ensure the smooth day-to-day running of building systems, a safe and comfortable environment for occupants, and full compliance with health, safety, and maintenance standards.
You will work closely with their dedicated Facilities Account Manager and a range of specialist vendors to deliver best-in-class building operations.
What You’ll Do
Supervise and coordinate maintenance activities including repairs and preventative maintenance.
Act as the main contact for building occupants, handling queries and ensuring satisfaction.
Perform visual daily checks on building systems, including Fire Alarms, BMS, Backup Power, and Security Systems.
Conduct weekly fire alarm tests and daily plant room inspections.
Coordinate external vendors and contractors, ensuring safety compliance and timely work completion.
Assist with cleaning standards, rubbish removal, emergency route maintenance, and general building upkeep.
Support sustainability initiatives by identifying energy efficiency and waste reduction opportunities.
Carry out non-technical handyman services (e.g., light bulb replacements, minor painting, furniture moves).
Support office configuration projects including furniture assembly, relocation, and set-ups.
Collaborate with the Facilities Account Manager to maintain open communication and address issues.
Participate in continuous professional development (CPD) as needed.
What You’ll Bring
Previous experience in a similar building services or maintenance role is an advantage.
Familiarity with building systems operations is highly desirable.
Strong relationships with industry supply chain partners a plus.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Good IT literacy, including Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Strong interpersonal skills and confidence dealing with building occupants and vendors.
Self-motivated, reliable, and proactive with strong attention to detail.
Flexible and adaptable to change in a fast-paced environment.
