Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Health & Safety Officer to support the delivery of
health, safety, and environmental compliance across our client sites. The role involves assisting
with the development, implementation, and monitoring of H&S policies and procedures to
ensure legal compliance and best practice. This is a hands-on role, working closely with the
Health & Safety Manager, site teams, and clients to conduct inspections, audits, and risk
assessments, while also promoting safety awareness and maintaining accurate documentation.
Key Responsibilities
· Assist in the development and upkeep of company health & safety policies, procedures,
· and documentation (RAMS, SSOW, SDS).
· Participate in risk assessments, site inspections, and safety audits to identify hazards
· and ensure compliance.
· Support investigations into accidents, incidents, and near misses; contribute to
· corrective actions.
· Deliver toolbox talks, inductions, and safety briefings where required.
· Promote a culture of safety awareness, encouraging open communication and
· recognition of safe behaviours.
· Stay up to date with Irish H&S legislation, regulations, and industry standards, and
· recommend updates.
· Maintain safety records, reports, and training compliance systems.
· Work collaboratively with managers, supervisors, and contractors to resolve H&S
· concerns.
Requirements
· Degree / Diploma / Certificate in Health & Safety or equivalent.
· 2+ years’ experience in a Health & Safety role (multi-site experience an advantage).
· Knowledge of Irish H&S legislation and ISO standards (45001, 14001).
· Strong IT skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and accurate data entry.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently
· with staff and clients.
· Full clean EU driving license, with flexibility to travel to client sites.
· Strong initiative, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Positive attitude, adaptable, and committed to continuous improvement.
Preferred Skills
· NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent qualification.
· Manual Handling Instructor and/or Safe Pass Instructor certification.
· Experience in facilities management, data centres, cleanrooms, or other regulated
· environments.
· Familiarity with ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance) initiatives and reporting.
