Company Accountant
South Donegal –suitable candidates should live within 30-40 mins max. of the business location.

The hired Accountant will be responsible for managing and overseeing the financial operations of the company. This includes developing and implementing financial strategies, analysing financial data, and ensuring compliance with relevant taxes and regulations. Additionally, this person will operate cross-functionally within the business to support its wider operations, including staff management, IT support and strategic support for the business. We are looking for an extremely ambitious individual.

What you'll do
Day to day management of the finance department.
Oversee the preparation and analysis of monthly and annual financial statements.
Monitor and analyse financial performance and identify areas for improvement across sales, costs and working capital management.
Support the credit control function and cash management of the business.
Oversee and ensure compliance with revenue online, including VAT, PAYE, Intrastat returns.
Manage the budgeting and forecasting process and provide regular reports to senior management.
Develop and implement financial strategies and plans that align with the overall business objectives of the organization.
Collaborate with and delegate to a team of support staff.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key financial and other external stakeholders.
Assist senior staff to make strategic decisions when planning for the future of the business.
Ad hoc support with cross-functional teams.
Onboarding and training of staff on your team.
Oversee IT controls and access within the business.

What you'll need
Substantial experience in a financial management role and ideally be part or fully qualified.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in financial software and systems, including Excel.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
Self-starter with the ability to improve processes & efficiencies across the business.
