Truck Driver (C or C1 Licence)

Our client are a leading supplier of heating, plumbing & renewable energy solutions in Ireland.
Role Profile:
An excellent opportunity for a Truck Driver to join a fantastic team. You will be based 3 days in Mullingar, 2 Days in Athlone. The successful candidate's primary responsibility is to deliver items for each branch to their customers. When you are not delivering items, you will assist with unloading deliveries and putting the stock into the stores area.
Job Specification
• Monitoring customer orders and deliveries;
• Also assist with unloading deliveries and putting the stock in to their correct locations (physical location and book onto system);
• Ensure the correct reporting of damaged /faulty stock is completed in a timely manner;
• Good housekeeping in particular for the stores area ensuring walkways are free from trip hazards and goods in correct locations;
• Assist on the Trade Counter as and when required;
• Keep up to date with product knowledge;
• Assist with and participate in stock take when required;
• Adherence of all Health & Safety rules and procedures.

Person Specification
Essential
At least 1 years professional driving experience i.e. transportation / delivery of goods;
Full, Clean Valid Driving License (C or C1 License required);
Previous experience in stores area or warehouse;
Previous experience in driving a forklift;
Basic level of computer literacy.
Desirable
Previous experience within the Heating/Plumbing industry;
Hold a current forklift licence;
Manual Handling Certificate;
Current Safe Pass.

• Salary competitive DOE;
• Hours – 39 hours – typically Monday to Friday - the branches open on Saturdays 9-12pm – no deliveries but would need to be flexible to work on a rotational basis – hours worked on the sat are paid at time plus half.
