We are representing a Road Safety Authority (RSA)-appointed vehicle testing facility who test up to 500 vehicles monthly – This Certified business is trusted by major fleets including Donegal County Council, Northgate Vehicle Hire. Long-established locally providing excellent customer service with friendly staff and efficient appointments.
We are looking for a skilled CVRT Tester who is ready to step into a supervisory role.
This is a career-defining opportunity for a qualified mechanic with a passion for vehicle safety and team leadership. CVRT certification sponsorship available (terms apply).
What You’ll Do
Your Responsibilities
As a CVRT Tester:
Perform RSA-compliant CVRT tests on HGVs & LGVs
Inspect braking, steering, suspension, emissions, lighting systems
Accurately log results using RSA IT systems
Communicate with drivers/owners on results and next steps
Ensure testing equipment and environment are safe and compliant
As a Supervisor:
Manage daily operations of the test centre
Lead and support technicians and trainees
Handle scheduling, compliance, and staff coordination
Liaise with RSA for audits and standards compliance
Uphold safety, efficiency, and customer service standards
What You’ll Bring
Qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic
CVRT certification preferred (training provided if not certified)
3+ years’ experience in vehicle testing or diagnostics
Proven leadership skills or readiness to take on supervisory duties
Strong IT and communication skills
Full, clean driving licence
High attention to detail & team-oriented mind-set
