EXTRUSION PROCESS ENGINEER

The role -
In this full-time permanent position, you will be reporting to the Production Manager.
The Extrusion Process Engineer will:
• Troubleshoot materials, processes, and tooling production issues;
• Lead process optimisation and continuous improvement activities;
• Attain technical expertise in extrusion technologies and materials;
• Research available technologies with the objective of improving product quality, reducing cost and increasing capacity;
• Participate in cross-functional projects;
• Lead/participate in root cause investigation of customer complaints and audit findings.

What we are looking for –
This role will suit someone with a Degree in Engineering or Science (Chemical, Mechanical, Polymer, Materials) and 5 Years + experience in a process engineering/improvement role.
You will be detail-oriented with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects.
You will demonstrate a high degree of proficiency with computer databases, DOE and statistical analysis (Six Sigma experience highly desirable)

We will highly value candidates with the following desirable experience:
• Prior experience in plastics, (Polymer extrusion/ Injection/ Blow moulding)
• Knowledge of material testing methods, e.g., Tensile, DSC, DMTA, FTIR
• Solid Works experience
• Experience in Continuous improvement, Kaizen, SPC, and TPM

Teamworking and autonomous working ability.
