Our Donegal based client has undergone steady growth in recent years given that they provide to an impressive customer base across Donegal, Ulster, Ireland and into the UK.
From their premises in North Donegal, they provide commercial and residential window and door solutions to clients far and wide.
Having doubled their workforce in the last few years, they continue to grow and as a result of that growth we have been tasked with assisting them recruit more team members.
Core Duties:
A window fitter provides a vital component of the construction project lifecycle. Your role will vary considerably depending on the scale of the job, but your common duties would include.
Measuring for fitting any new windows and doors and making any amendments necessary to ensure that the windows and doors fit properly;
Fixing single, double and triple glazed windows and doors;
Performing minor joinery and carpentry modifications or working with carpenters and other to trades to ensure the work is done to the best possible standard;
Ensuring the area is left free of debris and hazardous glass material after work is completed.
Requirements:
Suitable applicants must have a sound understanding of the Window & Door industry in Ireland and have previous Window and Door fitting experience (ideally 5 years +) along with a knowledge of aluminium, UPVC & curtain walling systems.
You will have an ability to read site drawings and be able to demonstrate that you have excellent communication skills, are presentable and detail orientated and able to deal with end-users & clients.
You must have a Valid Safe Pass and a full clean driver’s license.
These roles are based in Donegal, but you will be required to travel to client sites.
Preference will be given to those who in addition to above have ability to read CAD Drawings and have the ability to produce sketches of flashings required on site.
