Who is our client.
Our client is a multi-site and market leading one stop shop/retailer who offer a host of quality products and a first-class customer shopping experience providing quality building supplies and DIY materials to the trade and public They have a very established brand and offer a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Professional to further augment their career within a rewarding, challenging and autonomous environment.
Primary Function of this role.
The role involves a standard 40 hour week making primarily local deliveries - Monday to Friday, with some Saturday morning work required, every second Saturday at most.
Reporting directly to the Branch and Transport Managers
The responsibilities of the successful candidate will include the following:
· Satisfying delivery requirement to all its customers
· Experience in multi drop delivering on the national road networks
· Assisting to maintain the highest standards of housekeeping in the warehouse and yard
· Working closely with all branch staff
· Following company policies and procedures from an operational and health and safety perspective.
What we are looking for?
The following mix of experience and attributes will be required by the successful candidate:
· A clean “HGV2” or higher driving licence
· Minimum 5 years’ experience
· Digital taco card required
· CPC card up to date (5 modules)
· CSCS certified
· Forklift licence
· Good communication and interpersonal skills.
· A positive can-do attitude, self-motivated with the ability to work on their own initiative
