CIVILS SITE MANAGER – PEMBROKE – 6 WEEK CONTRACT
Our client has a long history of engineering and construction excellence, delivering high quality EPC engineering and construction services throughout the UK and overseas. They successfully deliver complex turnkey engineering projects in sectors such as Process & Water, Energy, Defence, Oil & Gas and Nuclear. They have over 800 employees and with a healthy forward order book with a projected turnover of £180m this year, it is an exciting time to join the business.
They have an immediate requirement to appoint a temporary Site Manager to join at the end of a £7m project in Pembroke. Works on this project have involved excavation, RC foundations, reinforcement, culverts, pipework etc. This is a temporary position until the end of February 2020.
Working closely with the Contracts Manager, the Project Manager will be the interface between the site team and the client. They will have responsibility for managing the site management team and the client schedule, whilst ensuring the site operates safely and within programme.
Reporting to the Project Manager and working closely with the commercial team, responsibilities include but are not limited to;
- Overseeing the site team
- Ensuring project delivery within programme
- Controlling safety, quality & environmental activities
- Diary management
- Client interface
- Management of subcontractors (where applicable)
- Progress reporting
Due to the complexity of works, it is essential that applicants have a background in the successful delivery of civil engineering projects. It may be that you are currently working as a Site Manager or perhaps you are a General Foreman who is used to managing some paperwork. Either way, you will have an excellent technical ability in this sector and be a strong manager of people, possessing the ability to get the most out of your team.
Qualifications;
- HND/BEng in Civil Engineering or by experience
- CSCS
- SMSTS
- 1st Aid
