Vacancy: Quantity Surveyor

Location: Co Antrim

Salary: £25k - £40k negotiable + company benefits

 

3D Personnel’s is currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor on behalf of a client, a building main contractor with projects throughout GB and Ireland.

It is an exciting opportunity with a very attractive package on offer for the successful candidate in addition to long term career and progression opportunities.

As Quantity Surveyor your role will include but not be limited to the following:

  • Monthly reporting of costs to divisional management;
  • Quarterly forecasting  to divisional management;
  • Cashflow forecasting;
  • Cost / Value reconciliation;
  • Subcontract management – procurement to final account;
  • Responsible for development of assistant QS’s and mentoring through professional accreditation;
  • Change control – Identification and recording of all change;
  • Contract administration – raising notifications required by the main contract e.g. Early warnings, Compensation Event Notifications;
  • Pricing and agreeing Compensation Event quotations including programme effect;
  • Experience in both integrated and non-integrated Joint Ventures;
  • Monthly applications for payment  - Activity Schedules, BoQs, Actual Defined Cost;
  • Designer management;
  • Delay/Disruption claim preparation;

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in construction tender estimating / quantity surveying
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to successfully meet monthly debt targets
  • Proficiency with MS packages with previous Sage software experience
  • Able to multi-task and meet strict deadlines
  • Impeccable problem-solving skills
