A leading manufacturer of high-volume consumer products operating from a Donegal based BRC “AA” facility. Currently seeking a Quality Assurance Assistant for this global food business where you will gain fantastic experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What you will be doing.
Dealing with compliance with the food safety requirements set by both the company and regulatory Authorities.
Reporting to the management team, your role will include assisting in the overall management of the Food Safety & Quality Management System at the site.
Aid with the maintenance of the HACCP based system on site.
Aid with the maintenance of standards on site such as BRC, MSC, FDA, Origin Green etc
Ensure in house processes and procedures guarantee that the product is produced to specification.
Auditing of factory environment (including hygiene/cleaning activities), processes, products, and records
Daily checking of product quality, product testing/verification audits
Reporting to Senior management any specific breakdown in the Food Safety & Quality Management System
Traceability of all ingredients through to finished products to customer deliveries
Operating to prescribed protocols as set out under the standard Operational Procedures.
Provide technical guidance and support to other departments and support others.
Participate in operational problem solving, technical/hygiene problem solving and project work as allocated.
Other duties assigned.
What we are looking for:
Educated to diploma/degree level in a food related discipline however other closely related discipline may be considered.
Previous experience in a food production facility preferred.
Knowledge of HACCP, BRC Standards, Food Legislation, Food Hygiene
Skilled in Computer use - Excel/Word/Power point
An ability to liaise with staff in an effective and disciplined manner whilst maintaining an understanding and easily approachable attitude.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Good team worker
Good problem solving and decision-making skills.
