Overview
Our client are an award winning national main contractor with an enviable reputation for delivering complex new build and refurbishment projects.
They seek a proven Project Manager to take the lead on a variety of schemes, most notably a £64m new build scheme. This role offers achievable opportunities to progress to Contracts Manager
Summary of role
Overall responsibility for the co-ordination, management and delivery of assigned projects, ensuring they are completed profitably, safely, on time and to a high standard whilst maintaining and promoting strong client relationships.
You will ensure the most effective and efficient utilisation of people and resources required for the project. Involvement in live projects as well as the pre-construction stages of upcoming projects and post construction issues that may arise after Practical Completion.
You’ll participate in the tendering process including input into the development of programmes, methodologies, quality submissions and playing an active role at post tender interviews.
Additionally, you’ll develop contract programmes, construction programmes and methodology with the assistance of the Contracts Planner and communicate to site management, as well as develop and implement short term programmes with key sub-contractors at various stages of the project
Able to demonstrate experience of producing detailed project progress reports, critical path analysis and accurate extension of time requests is essential.
