Our client is a large civil engineering contractor working on transport, built and civil engineering projects in the London and Home Counties area.
They are looking for a Materials Co-ordinator to join their team working on surfacing projects.
Duties:
- Calling supervisors in advance regarding next day orders
- Chasing the asphalt division to ensure that all materials and transport are arranged
- Ensuring that all parties are made aware of any special delivery requirements
- Focusing on ensuring that materials arrive on site on time
- Processing materials orders for the surfacing division.
- Chasing, challenging and reporting to ensure that high standards are met.
Experience:
- Experience of surfacing/road projects as an operative or from office
- Strong personality with the ability to challenge colleagues and clients/suppliers
- Organised person who would be happy to be office based and working on the telephone in a busy environment
