Our recruiters have been working with and placing staff in this business for over 10 years, they are a leading manufacturer operating in Donegal and Derry and looking to expand their talented team.
- Working as a Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for ensuring that terms and conditions used in transactions are acceptable to the business, drafting and negotiating agreements (often directly with customers) to ensure agreements are clearly defined, documented, and in agreement with Company guidelines.
- Also, you will be responsible for supporting the Law Department in a wide range of legal issues across various functions through working with members of other corporate departments, business units and outside counsels.
Some of your key responsibilities as a Legal Counsel will include:
- Work under supervision of the Commercial Director to provide timely review, analysis, drafting, interpretation and negotiation of contracts and other documents with external parties in line with Company policies and objectives
- Provide counsel and advise Company management on legal issues, compliance and risk management (contracts, claims, litigation, legal changes, trade compliance and others) and any possible impact to the Company.
- Anticipate and mitigate potential legal problems within the organization and mitigate risk to avoid claims and litigation.
- Conduct legal analysis, research and reviews on a variety of legal issues, national and international laws, and risk evaluation.
- Provide support for other governance and compliance activities as assigned and where related to his/her area of responsibilities.
Job Qualifications:
- University degree in Law
Professional Background:
- 2-3 years of relevant experience, preferably in a multinational company.
- Special expertise in commercial law, contract law and (optionally) labour law
Basic skills:
- Strong command of high international standards of ethics & compliance.
Technical / Functional skills:
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office programs and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
