Vacancy: Construction Planner

Location: Dublin

Salary: €110K + package (DOE)

3D Personnel’s client is a leading construction company who are presently seeking an experienced Construction Planner to be based in the Dublin region on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity, working with a well-established construction group in Ireland.

The successful Construction Planner will be looking after the construction planning of a number of sites and will include site visits.

As a member of the team, the Construction Planner will play an active role in delivery of assigned projects by facilitating the planning, scheduling and controlling processes. Providing advice, support and clear communication of fact-based answers to key management questions which will aid in intelligent and effective decision making, and must escalate and flag internally where there is risk to the company.
  

Responsibilities:

  • Producing 3 week and 3 month look aheads and updating master plan using ASTA and Microsoft project.
  • Updating project milestones in accordance with look aheads.
  • Monitoring possible change areas, identifying commercial project risks and opportunities.
  • Updating project milestones in accordance with look aheads.
  • Risk analysis of project and proposing mitigation methods for risk areas
  • Producing ITP`s  for site activities.
  • Material Requisition, Co ordination with QS for Progress and Change Register.
  • Producing Work Package Plans for site activities as required and monitoring.
  • Liaison of technical information between site and temporary works and permanent works design team.
  • Producing Method of Statements, Checking Sub Contractor Method Statements for Constructability and Risk Assessment and Health and Safety.
  • Checking Quality of works , Steel re inforcement, raising NCR`s when required.
  • Regulary checking and updating RFI`s, NCR`s, and Method of Statements and Liasiong with Client regularly.

Requirements:

  • Engineering or Construction Management Related Degree / Trade Certification (any of these with the right experience)
  • 3-5 years’ experience  in planning  / demonstrate ability to develop and implement plans, monitor and control work
  • Must be capable of producing project plans from design and commercial information
  • Microsoft Project / Asta  / P6 or Equivalent Planning Software, Microsoft Office tools - Excellent report writing skills
  • Time management essential to satisfy demands of busy schedule and reporting calendar
