Vacancy: General Foreman
Location: West Dublin
Salary: €65K - €70k + package
Our Client is a well-established, Irish homebuilder committed to building high-quality sustainable homes in excellent locations and providing exceptional customer service at each stage of the home-buying journey. Due to recent expansion they are looking to recruit an experienced General Foreman to be based in Co. Dublin.
The successful candidate will be working under a PM and will be responsible for the projects from groundworks to handover. The successful candidate will be experienced in working within main contractors/developers undertaking residential developments over at least 5 year period.
Responsibilities include:
- The construction of a residential scheme from greenfield through to completion
- Manage and coordinate both site staff and sub-contractors on site
- Management of H&S on site to ensure highest standards are maintained
- Liaise and communicate closely with the design team and other stakeholders
- Plan the daily resourcing and control of site labour and ordering of materials, completing the online daily site diary and relevant weekly documentation in accordance with company policy
- Carry out company compliance and administration procedures and recording performance and progress of site operations and subcontractors
- Ensure all employees and site visitors comply with all Health and Safety obligations
Requirements:
- Trade background or relevant Degree/Higher Diploma/HETAC qualification
- 5+ years’ site management experience on residential projects
- Proven record of seen projects through from greenfield to completion
- Background in residential developments essential
- Experienced of managing multiple residential contracts
- Knowledge of latest building regulation and certification standards
- A strong sense of ownership and responsibility for tasks/projects
- Accuracy, attention to detail and a methodical nature are key
- The ability to lead, use initiative and be self-motivated
