Working on an exclusive basis, we are seeking to recruit a highly skilled, experienced and talented Financial Controller for our client who is a very successful and well known multi-site retailer with retail outlets across the NW and West of Ireland. This role will be based in head office which is located in South Donegal.
The Financial Controller will be fully qualified and ideally come with experience in a similar role and some auditing experience would be advantageous.
Job Profile:
You will be a key member of the senior management team, reporting to the Managing Director and overseeing the accounts and administration function within the business.
We are looking for a real people person with very strong IT Skills with the ability to analyse data and sales reports.
Key Responsibilities include:
Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts with detailed analysis and commentary in line with deadlines;
Ongoing regular review of the financial position of the company, defining and reporting on KPI’s to the management team;
Preparation of annual budgets including cash flow forecasting and strategic planning;
Management of the annual audit process with the company’s external auditors;
Management of the accounts and administration staff;
Ensure effective and robust financial controls are in place to minimise risk;
Review costings and analysis of various cost centres across the business to ensure the most cost-effective processes are in place;
Continually improve accounting processes, procedures and systems of control;
Drive improvements in the company’s IT systems;
Work with the management team to develop & implement business processes to improve the future financial performance of the business;
Responsibility for all internal and external financial reporting requirements.
Experience/Qualifications/Requirements:
The ideal candidate will be fully qualified – ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA with significant Irish accounting experience gained ideally in a similar environment (Retail) at a similar level.
You will have a good understanding of IT systems and have advanced Excel skills.
You will be able to demonstrate excellent team management and communication skills.
A background in auditing would be an advantage.
