Finance Admin. Clerk
Co. Derry/ Derry City Outskirts
Full-time perm contract
We are working with an Employer based within easy reach of Derry City who are seeking to hire a capable and experienced Finance Administrator who can work accurately in a fast- paced environment.
What will you be doing?
Responsibilities include (but not limited to)
Process invoices, payments, raising purchase orders and processing goods received;
Month end processing, such as account balancing to supplier statement and month end audit procedures while producing accurate reports;
Prepayment processing and nominal analysis;
Forecast levels of demand for services or products;
Keep constant check on consumable stock levels;
Research to ascertain best products and suppliers in terms of best value, delivery and quality;
Build and maintain good relationships with suppliers;
General admin duties e.g. telephone, filing, post, enquires etc;
Train and supervise other team members when required.
What skills, experience, qualifications and attributes should you have
You will ideally have a min. of two years previous experience;
It is essential your experience includes exposure to creditors ledger processing, bank reconciliation and VAT returns. Payroll processing an advantage but not essential;
You will have excellent analytical skills along with fluent English Oral and written communication skills;
A comprehensive knowledge of word and excel and an excellent standard of numeracy to analyse facts and figures;
We are seeking someone with a confident approach and who has the ability to make important decisions and cope with the pressure of demanding deadlines.
Hours are Mon. – Fri. 9.00am to 5.30pm (Sat. morning if required-though very occasionally).
