Vacancy: Fibre Surveyor

Location: UK  (Huddersfield /Coventry)

Salary: £30K – £32.5K + expenses

3D Personnel’s client designs and builds network infrastructure for companies that operate networks in communications and utilities sectors and partner to world leaders in the distribution of infrastructure projects.

3D Personnel’s client is currently seeking an experienced Fibre Surveyor to join their team.

Responsibilities as Fibre Surveyor:

  • Comply with company policies, procedures and Health and Safety legislation as well as with client specific procedures and specification
  • Compile project reports and documentation with focus on quality and deadlines
  • Assist with resolving any queries in order to enable design to progress as quick as possible
  • Carrying out risk assessments on site prior to work commencing
  • Implement control measures as required
  • Accurately record site information
  • Validate client high level design and note any issues and dependencies
  • During surveys liaise with local authority representatives, landlords, council officials and any other third party
  • Collate survey notes, sketches, photos and any other gather information in concise and legible manner for submission to the client


  • NRSWA (SWQR) Unit 1 essential, unit 2 preferable
  • Valid CSCS (CSR) card
  • Experience with underground and overhead preferred, including BTOR
  • Experience in trenching, ducting, cabling, poling, earthing etc
  • Solid knowledge of all current safety legislation associated with underground and overhead
  • BTOR, BT OBAS cards and manhole keys, IOSH will be an advantage
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Good reporting and communication skills
