Job Description: Estimating Assistant
Location: Northern Ireland
Salary: Negotiable
On behalf of my client, I am actively recruiting for an Estimating Assistant to work on ongoing projects in Northern Ireland . My Client is an award winning construction company who work throughout the UK & Ireland.
Responsibilities:
- To assess material, labour and plant requirements
- To prepare correspondence to various parties for purposes of obtaining estimates
- To liaise with sub-contractors and suppliers to obtain package estimates
- To review and assess tenders ensuring all tender documents are received and correct
- To resolve cost discrepancies by collecting and analysing information
- To plan and organise work efficiently to meet project deadlines
- To work in accordance with company Integrated Management System standards
- To prepare relevant reports
- To update information as required
Requirements
- Excellent IT skills and working experience on a range of IT packages
- Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage deadlines
- Good decision making and problem solving skills
