Our client based in Donegal and within easy reach of Derry are a leading manufacturer with well over 30 years’ experience working on projects locally and internationally.
The business is in a period of significant growth. Due to their busy work load they are seeking to recruit an experienced Electrical Switchgear Project Engineer in a full-time role to support the Company strategic vision for growth.
What you will be doing
Reporting to an Engineering Team Leader this position presents an excellent opportunity for a qualified professional pertaining to design engineering and key project management functions of electrical switchgear production.
Full remit of the post will encompass the following duties:-
Preparation of detailed design drawings and documentation in line with specification requirements for LV Switchgear;
Commercial control of key projects including budgets and variations;
Liaison with key customers, sub-contractors and suppliers, including site surveys and meetings;
Material management / procurement;
Project commercial controls including variations and pay applications. Preparation of design drawings and documentation;
What we are looking for
Proven experience in a related position / comparable role involving exposure to design engineering and managing multiple ongoing projects;
Bachelor of Engineering Degree (Electrical);
Project management skills / Budget / Costings;
Aptitude for problem solving;
An adaptability to respond to a fast-moving business environment;
Accuracy and attention to detail;
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
You will in addition ideally already be living in the local area within a commutable distance and have the legal right to work in the jurisdiction. Visa sponsorship is not available currently.
