Traditionally known for supplying Professional and Technical, Trades and Labour and Operatives to the Construction sector. We now work across all sectors to cater for our clients ever-changing Recruitment needs.
This employer has Property Development interest’s across Ireland North and South as well as across the UK. Due to business growth they are now actively seeking to recruit a Development Manager for ROI Market and in particular someone with experience working in in the development or acquisitions team of an ROI housing association.
Job Profile:
Identify and pursue new opportunities for development/acquisition that will deliver a high-quality housing programme;
Identification of potential opportunities to commission new homes in popular and high demand areas to meet a range of needs;
Acquisition of land and property to facilitate future development or the acquisition of new properties;
Ability to liaise with agents and contacts to source and appraise new development opportunities in existing and new locations;
Provide analysis, research findings and property information to support internal and external reporting;
Liaising with in-house and external architects & consultants to establish the options within a development;
Carrying out development/investment appraisals on new and existing projects;
Provide support to the Directorate Management team in the effective coordination, implementation and management of development projects from inception to handover and closure, ensuring delivery to budget and to requirements, specifications and design criteria.


Experience/Qualifications/Requirements:
Essential:
Substantial experience working directly in Development or Acquisitions within a Social Housing setting within an Irish Housing Association;
A Degree or equivalent in a built environment or property-related subject
Practical experience of development appraisals/risk assessments;
Ability to speak to with agents and source new opportunities;
High level of analytical ability - accuracy and attention to detail essential;
Strong people and project management skills as well as an ability to work in a cross functional team;
Good at managing own time on multiple projects;
Keen interest/knowledge of the property and financial sectors. Commercial acumen, with a good understanding of the property sector;
Strong personal presence, impact and influencing skills;
Proficient user of Microsoft Office products including Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint;
Willing to travel.

An opportunity to work from home remotely though some travel will be crucial to this role.
