Design Engineer

Our Donegal based client has undergone steady growth in recent years given that they provide to an impressive customer base across Donegal, Ulster, Ireland and into the UK.
From their premises in North Donegal, they provide commercial and residential window and door solutions to clients far and wide.
Having doubled their workforce in the last few years, they continue to grow and as a result of that growth we have been tasked with assisting them recruit more team members.
Core Duties:
Preparation of site files for all projects;
Reporting progress to Managing Director and clients;
Design work including window and door structures, working components, from concept to completion;
Review and select materials based on established requirements;
Perform tolerance analysis;
Present design in details and support design decisions;
Produce detailed drawings for manufacturing and assembly.
Requirements:
You will be qualified to degree level in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering/ Construction Management/ Product Design or related field and have ideally 2+ years relevant experience.
You will be proficient in AutoCAD and Solidworks. (2D and 3D);
You will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and be able to problem solve and be responsible for a quality finish.
You will be highly motivated with strong communication skills and have the ability to work on independently or as part of a team.
An exceptional communication you will be able to deal with the Main Contractor, Architects, and clients in writing and in design meetings and be able to communicate with Estimating and project managers to ensure project are completed to specification and high quality.
You will have a full clean driver’s licence.
Preference will be given to those who in addition to above have Revit and BIM experience, knowledge of Logikal software, curtain walling systems and knowledge of glazing specifications.
