Job Title: Community Engagement Manager

Location: London SW2

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 plus benefits depending upon experience

Overview

Our client is a specialist Design & Build Contractor, Developer and Investor in multi-sector, mixed use schemes across the UK & Ireland.

We’re looking for a communications professional with specific experience of community engagement and crisis management in challenging situations ideally from a construction sector background.

Duties would include:

  • Daily monitoring of dedicated community enquiries/ complaints email address
  • Responsible for answering community enquiries/ complaints telephone number
  • Liaison with client, local authority to compile responses (and coordinate client approval of these) to issue to residents and/or councillors
  • Ongoing recording of all enquiries/ complaints in an ‘Issues log’ spreadsheet
  • Issuing of weekly construction updates to residents’ database
  • Preparation of any ad hoc letters/ flyers/ general communications for local community updates and managing print/ distribution or email issue
  • Website management of olivemorrishouse.org including:

-        Weekly updating with contractor works update newsletter

-        Regular updating with new information postings as requested by client

-        Wholesale review/ re-writes when required

-        Management of set of Frequently Asked Questions including:

  • Drafting new FAQs
  • Managing client amendments
  • Posting/ updating these on website
  • Setting up/ managing the Neighbourhood Construction Forum:

-        Co-ordinating dates with full team

-        Management of Zoom subscription, setting up meetings/ links for the NCF sessions, and issuing these to all parties

-        Copy drafting and managing design for community flyer

-        Liaison London Letterbox to manage postal print and distribution – also issuing this electronically to councillors and residents’’ database

-        Managing registration of resident attendees

-        Preparing agenda and posting on website – managing residents’ proposed amendments to this

-        Preparation (with team input) of slides for NCF – managing all team amendments to these

-        Setting up pre-recording sessions for elements of the NCF presentations

-        Technical chairing of the Zoom NCF – briefing of chair and team attendees, management of participants, playing of pre-recording sessions, monitoring chatroom, managing the session recording (including getting participants permissions) with a councillor as meeting chair

-        Recording the NCF and drafting minutes to be approved by clients and issued to all attendees within 2 weeks of the meeting

-        Responsibility for NCF Terms of Reference (already drafted but may occasionally require a review)

  • Setting up/ managing Construction Management Forum:

-        Compile invitees list and contacts

-        Invitation email drafting/ issuing

-        Coordinating RSVPs

-        Liaison client team/ contractor regarding their inputs

-        Chairing of the session and follow up notes

  • Input into any media/social media posts related to the project, liaising comms teams
  • Setting up/ chairing of monthly comms meeting with the client
