Our client is a key employer in the area and operates a well-known and respected hotel operation in Co. Derry.
Primary Objective of Position
To effectively supervise, direct and motivate bar/floor staff. To deliver excellent service to customers and maximise guest satisfaction and beverage profitability.
Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities
Oversees the running of all bar areas;
Ensures that bar is set up ensuring that staff and stock are organised for cost effective and efficient service;
Ensures that licensing objectives are upheld;
Establishes customer requirements and dispensing beverages promptly and efficiently, in a hygienic and attractive way;
Informs customers guests of additional bar services such as promotions, resolving queries and guest complaints;
When required, be able to cover Duty Manager shifts.
To ensure that adequate stock and equipment is available before and during service;
To ensure the security of stock and equipment at all times;
Confident knowledge of wines and cocktails;
Can train, develop the team.
Experience/Qualifications/Requirements:
Minimum of 3-4 years’ experience in a bar role within the hospitality sector;
Can cover Duty Manager shifts when required;
Educated to GCSE or equivalent level;
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills;
Excellent organizational skills;
Can effectively delegate responsibilities;
Extensive working knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages;
Well motivated, conscientious and able to work on own initiative;
Be able to demonstrate excellent operational, organizational and people management skills;
Excellent customer care.
