3D Personnel are currently recruiting for an experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor near Reading.
Our client is a reputable Logistics & Waste contractor who are assisting the delivery of a £30m government scheme.
You will be responsible for overseeing the variations package with a value of £4.5m and ensure appropriate commercial controls are in place and adhered to. You will be reporting into a Senior Commercial Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Management of Variation package; lead the settlement of any disputes or differences in quantities or prices between the client
- You will also be responsible for ensuring contract compliance therefore understanding of NEC Contracts is essential
- Overseeing and managing the submission of V.O’s, quotations or estimates to Client, ensuring that contract SOR rates are utilised wherever possible
- Measuring works
- Submitting monthly applications to Client
- Build long term, influential relationships with preferred suppliers to provide flexibility to changing business needs
- Raising PO’s where required.
- Reconciling / validating internal material cost reports.
- Processing subcontract applications and payment recommendations
What we need from you:
- NEC Form Contract experience
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the role
- HNC/ HND in Construction proffered
- Degree in Quantity Surveying proffered
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the role
