Our client is a successful hotel with decades of experience in the industry and a reputation for delivering complete guest satisfaction. Now seeking an Assistant Operations Manager to join their leadership team.

Key Responsibilities
Under the general guidance of the Operations Manager assess, evaluate and ensure that goals of all F&B Operations are met.
As Assistant Operations Manager, you will be responsible for delivering a food & beverage experience to our guests alongside supervisors and team members.

Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Maximise Guest Satisfaction and Profitability by Managing the Food & Beverage;
Support and work with the Operations Manager in all activities in Food & Beverage departments;
Ensure guests receive a consistent level of service in our F&B departments;
Checks regularly to ensure guests receive efficient, knowledgeable and courteous service;
Greets and seats guests, ensuring that they receive prompt, courteous and efficient service;
Ensures that restaurant premises, silver, glass, porcelain etc. is clean and in good working order;
Maximises guest satisfaction by communicating customer specifications to kitchen;
Ensures readiness and compliance in case of last minutes changes to reservations;
Informs guests and staff of applicable liquor laws, hotel rules and limitations within policies and guidelines;
Assists with ensuring the prices and portions are offered in accordance with food and beverage profit objectives;
Provides Executive Head Chef and Operations Manager with accurate forecasts;
Identifies training needs and makes sure staff receives training, including skills training to provide consistent reliable service;
Assists Operations Manager to assess training needs and develop their departmental training plans;
Identifies employees with potential for promotion and or transfer and make appropriate development plans;
Works closely with Human Resources on HR related tasks.
Ensures guest satisfaction by attending to their requests and inquiries courteously and efficiently;

Requirements
Successful candidates must have:
4 +years hotel/food & beverage experience;
2 +years at management level;
Educated to GCSE level or equivalent;
Good IT skills and familiar with various software applications;
Strong understanding of large volume restaurant operations;
Passionate and driven with an emphasis on Food & Beverage;
Strong leadership and organisational skills;
Computer Literate (databases, MS Office etc);
Track record of human resource development and training;
Must be well organised, priority focused and very adaptable to change;
Hands on approach to everyday running of the food & beverage departments;
An excellent eye for detail.

Desirable:
Knowledge of Restaurant Reservation Software
