Our client, a leading manufacturer, headquartered in Co. Donegal in close proximity to Donegal town are a family managed business that is highly successful and are now in a position to hire an Accounts / Accounting Manager to join and lead their finance team.
Job Profile:
The ideal candidate for this role will be supervising and managing the accounts team and be responsible for overseeing general accounting operations by controlling and verifying financial transactions and reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledger and preparing month-end close procedures.
Duties will include: (but not limited to)
Supervision and management of the accounts team;
Preparation of management accounts for ROI and UK companies;
Day to day accounts preparation and GL journals;
Bank, Interco and GL reconciliations;
Standard costing of manufactured products;
Stock Valuations;
Monitoring departmental costing;
Monthly Sales reporting;
Preparing audit standard year end accounts for external auditor;
Filing of tax returns;
Ad hoc duties for Management.
Experience/Qualifications/Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have:
3 years PQE ideally in industry;
Be ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA qualified;
Be proficiency in Excel;
The role will be varied and the ideal candidate should be flexible and willing to adapt
We are seeking someone capable of working on own initiative and taking responsibility for quality and accuracy of work and for leading a team.
