We are working with an Employer based within easy reach of Derry City who are seeking to hire capable and experienced Accounting Technicians who can work in a fast paced environment and join their finance team.

What will you be doing?
Reporting to the Group Accountant / Finance Director your responsibilities are (buy not limited to)
General Admin duties e.g. telephone, filing, post, enquires etc.
Process invoices, payments, raising purchase orders and processing goods received.
Forecast levels of demand for services or products.
Keep constant check on consumable stock levels.
Build and maintain good relationship with suppliers.
Creditor ledger Responsibility e.g., Month end processing, such as account balancing to suppliers’ statement and month end audit procedures while producing accurate reports.
Maintenance of book keeping records including provision for Accruals, Prepayments processing and Nominal analysis.
Bank Reconciliation
Cash and bank management including lodgements, reconciliations, analysis and processing of Credit cards, Staff expenses and Petty cash
VAT Returns
Assistance with preparation of internal management reports.
Any other ad hoc duties to support the management team.

What skills, experience, qualifications and attributes should you have?
Two years’ experience in the role is essential along with being a Qualified Accounting Technician (IATA).
Knowledge of a high-volume finance function within a business.
An understanding and appreciation for the importance of prioritising workload
Have strong problem-solving skills.
Have excellent attention to detail skills.
Able to learn new processes in a reasonably fast-paced way.
Competent in Microsoft Office suite (most importantly Excel and Word).
Able to communicate with all levels within a business.

Hours: 9.00am to 5.30pm (One-hour lunch break unpaid), Monday to Friday.
