Our client based in Donegal and within easy reach of Derry are a leading manufacturer with well over 30 years’ experience working on projects locally and internationally.
The business is in a period of significant growth. Due to their busy work load they have a vacancy for 1 or more 3D CAD Technicians to join their team.
Job Profile:
Reporting directly to the Department Manager as part of the overall design team, your role will involve the preparation of 3D models and manufacturing drawings pertaining to Busbar trunking and or Electrical switchgear manufacture and installation.
Experience/Qualifications/Requirements:
The candidate must have an academic qualification related to the post such as Certified Solid Works Professional, City & Guilds Level 3 in CAD or equivalent;
Work experience in a 3D package such as Solid Works or Pro E with proficiency in AutoCAD, both 2D and 3D;
Knowledge of Engineering Drawing Standards is necessary;
A sound understanding of manufacturing processes, especially Injection Moulding and Sheet Metal Fabrication.
Desirable Experience:
Previous experience within a Manufacturing / Electrical engineering environment;
Working experience of BIM/Revit software;
Experience with Visual Basics, Illustrator and Photoshop;
In addition, the successful candidate will be able to clearly demonstrate their CAD ability through a portfolio of work and/or past industrial experience.
