Slingers ensure the safety of lifting teams and any workers who could be at risk on a construction site, through the direction and supervision of crane operators. The Slinger must issue directions and signals to lifting workers, either by hand or via a radio, that informs movements and warnings about a fire, injuries and the need for repairs or revisions to equipment.
