3D Personnel are delighted to continue as CLG Naomh Columba main shirt sponsor for the 2026 season.
This rural GAA Club, situated in the scenic parish of Glencolmcille, on the most westerly extremity of County Donegal, continues to punch well above its weight, with flourishing underage and female team set ups, to complement their successful senior men's football team.
Despite decades battling the effects of emigration, the Club continues to offer a fantastic outlet for youth and a social community for people of all ages. Indeed, the Club continues as a welcome networking hub for the area's diaspora spread all around the world.

Donegal GAA in a strong place
Since the return of Jim McGuinness to senior county management with Donegal GAA for the 2024 season, there has been a great degree of excitement generated around the county and indeed much further afield. Two successful Ulster Championship campaigns, alongside a disappointing All Ireland Final defeat to Kerry GAA in 2025, was followed this year with only the county's second ever Allianz League Division 1 Title win, where Kerry GAA were this time soundly beaten.
Naomh Columba are proud to have had three of its players, Aaron and Philip Doherty and Paul O'Hare play their part at different periods of the current Jim McGuinness era.
For the players and supporters of Naomh Columba, they can now look forward to the summer of GAA action that lies ahead for both Club and County.
3D Personnel would like to wish them all the best of luck for the season ahead.

The Michael Murphy Sports Senior Football Championship
Naomh Columba are this year back in the ranks of senior men's football in Donegall for the first time since 2008. The breakthrough was made following an impressive campaign in the 2025 Michael Murphy Sports Intermediate Football Championship, which concluded with a much-celebrated final win against Malin GAA.
Coming on the back of a number of heartbreaking defeats at Intermediate level, over the previous few years, the Club can now look forward to pushing on and re-establishing itself as a competitive senior side in Donegal football.
Before Championship 2026 gets underway, Naomh Columba have their current league Division 2 campaign to help sharpen their focus. With Paul O'Hare currently absent, as he enjoys his opportunity with Jim McGuinness's Donegal team, the remainder of the squad will be setting their sights on regaining promotion to Division 1.

The Naomh Columba Ladies also enjoying success
The Glen ladies are similarly experiencing an exciting period of growth and on field successes. Currently competing in Division 1 of the Donegal LGFA League, they won the 2025 All Ireland Gaeltacht Junior title and the Donegal LGFA Junior 'A' Championship, defeating Urris GAA in the Final.
This summer they can look forward to competing at Intermediate Championship level in Donegal. There has also been steady growth in the numbers of females participating at various age groups for the Club.

3D Personnel continue their Sponsorship of CLG Naomh Columba
CLG Naomh Columba enjoy a long-term relationship with 3D Personnel and our Managing Director, local lad Michael Byrne.
Growing up, Michael played for the Club at all levels. In 2021 Michael took on the role of Club Chairperson and continued in this role up till the end of the 2024 season. 3D Personnel have provided sponsorship and support at various levels down through the years. This season they continue as senior team and reserve team main shirt sponsors.
The 3D link runs deeper still, with no less than six players from the senior and reserve team panels currently working at 3D. Our Operations Manager for Ireland, Philip Doherty plays a prominent role for the senior team, as do a number of others working between our 3D Personnel and 3D Specialist Contracting divisions.
Having our Donegal office based in the parish also helps the Club indirectly, by offering employment opportunities locally.
Michael had these words to say about our ongoing sponsorship of the Club:
It’s an honour to sponsor the Naomh Columba Club, especially for the hard work that goes in at underage level. From my experience, the grounding that the Club gave to me and lots of people from the area, this will stand to all the children in the long run.

Naomh Columba Easter Camps
For many of the clubs’ younger players, the Easter Camp is a great occasion for getting back into the swing of things. Learning new skills, improving techniques and above all making new friends is a big part of the Easter Camp experience. Listening to experienced coaches, learning new drills, playing football and having fun is a great way of spending a few days during the Easter school holidays.
The Easter Camps in Glen, which are sponsored by 3D Personnel, regularly see up to a hundred children participating. Not only do the children enjoy the experience, but each child leaves with a new team kit, provided by 3D Personnel.
Attendance at the Glen Easter Camp is not limited to locals either, with participants from Dublin and Liverpool having enjoyed previous camps.
Cillian Byrne previously travelled from Dublin and had this to say about the Easter Camps he attended:
I play with St Oliver Plunketts | Eoghan Ruadh in Dublin, but I love coming up to my Dad’s home club and doing the Easter Camps. All the people on the camp are great, and I have made lots of friends for years to come.
Speaking after the same Easter Camp, Jamie Cunningham, who travelled with his family from Liverpool had this to say about his experience:
It was great to take part in the Naomh Columba Easter Camp in Glen again this year. It was good to meet up with the friends I made last year, who I still keep in touch with.
The coaching is very good, and I can practice some new things at my own John Mitchel’s Club in Liverpool when I get back. I also got a great Naomh Columba kit bag sponsored by my Dad’s friend at 3D. I’m already looking forward to getting back in the summer!

Jamie’s Dad, Conal 'Beag' Cunningham also commented:
As a former Naomh Columba player it was great to see Jamie taking part in the clubs’ Easter camp. Jamie, along with his sister Cara, play and train with their club John Mitchel’s in Liverpool, so it was great to hear some of the coaches complement Jamie’s ability as a Gaelic footballer. It shows that the coaching we are doing in Liverpool isn’t too far off.
It’s also a great way for our kids to make new friends in the area when home on holiday. With Xbox and social media, the kids tend to have their trips to the parish planed out before we even cross Carrick bridge. Thanks again to the club and the sponsors for hosting another successful Easter Camp!

Naomh Columba Fundraising Drives
As with most GAA Clubs around the world, local fundraising is the lifeblood of the Naomh Columba Club. Providing the facilities and infrastructure to accommodate teams from underage right through to senior for both male and female participants, is no easy task. Helped by so many selfless Club volunteers and generous supporters and sponsors, additional fundraising is always required.
To keep an eye on the Club's various fundraising events, including their weekly Lottery and the Annual 10 Week Draw Campaign (starting each September), please check in on the Club's Facebook page
3D Personnel also support some other GAA Clubs in Ireland and the UK.
