Our client is a leading equipment manufacturer in their field of operations and growing rapidly.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
Part of a Production team preparing stainless steel and/or plastic kits for handover for Manufacture;
Responsible for the manufacture of bespoke parts using predominantly a lathe, milling machine & pillar drill;
Ability to use measuring equipment such as DRO's, vernier's & micromoter's;
Ability to interpret 2D/3D drawings;
Skilled operation of fabrication hand tools (drill/grinder) to ensure a high quality finish is achieved;
Conduct ongoing QC checks to ensure product meets with company expectations around Quality;
Make a positive contribution to maintaining a workplace that is healthy, safe, neat and tidy;
There will be training opportunities for other equipment within the department such as the CNC brake press, CNC router and saws.
Experience/Qualifications Required:
Skilled operation of lathes & milling machines;
Must be proficient in the operation of fabrication hand tools (drill/grinder);
Ability to read 2D & 3D drawings;
Strong organisational skills with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities;
Must be able to work well on your own or as part of a team using your own initiative and solve problems as they arise;
Must be highly flexible and motivated with a 'can do' attitude;
FLT experience an advantage;
Manual Handling ticket;
Abrasive Wheel ticket;
Must be able to effectively liaise with support departments to achieve operational efficiency;
A good eye with high attention to detail;
Previous experience in the Food Processing industry an advantage;
Willing to be flexible in the role and to support the need to shift resource as and when required.
