We are looking for a Senior Estimator for a role thatd we have available with a carpentry and joinery sub-contractor based in the Hemel Hempstead area.
They are looking for a candidate with good fit out and joinery experience to join their team for upcoming projects that they have in London and the Home Counties.
Candidate should have excellent pre-construction experience for this role working under the managing estimator. Must have good experience of carpentry & joinery and fit out at main or sub-contract level.
Duties:
- To consistently deliver successful projects measured in terms of safety, quality, client satisfaction and profit.
- To achieve a level of autonomy whilst being a strong team player to ensure the highest standards are achieved continuously in delivering contracts consisting of a broad range of solutions on budget and on time.
- Develop efficient methods of working by promoting consistent practices, utilising information technology and using feedback from actual projects. • Preparation of prime cost estimates incorporating both standard and bespoke products.
- Liaison with bid managers, contractors and consultants.
- Provide advice on specifications and budgets.
- Measurement of quantity and scope for each bid.
- Preparation of prime cost estimates.
- Completion of fully considered tenders at settlement stage.
- Provide advice on finalisation matters of risk, qualification and margin.
- Working with other members of the pre-construction team and client to ensure the best tender possible submitted
Salary is negotiable depending on experience and this would represent an excellent opportunity for candidate to grow within a fast growing sub-contractor.
