Quality Lead (Mechanical) - Data Centre Project | Blyth, Northumberland

£70,000 - £85,000

We are seeking an experienced Quality Lead (Mechanical) to join a leading data centre delivery team on a major new data centre project in Blyth, Northumberland. This is a key role leading mechanical quality assurance across the project.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead QA/QC for all mechanical installations across the project
• Develop and implement inspection and test plans (ITPs)
• Carry out inspections, audits and witness testing of mechanical works
• Manage non-conformances, corrective actions and close-out
• Review subcontractor quality documentation and turnover packages
• Work closely with mechanical, commissioning and client teams
• Maintain accurate quality records and reporting

Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' mechanical QA/QC experience
• Experience with HVAC, piping and mechanical services installations
• Data centre, pharma or mission-critical experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of ITPs, inspections and quality documentation
• Mechanical engineering qualification or relevant trade background
• Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping skills
