Role: Planning Engineer

3D Personnel is currently seeking a planning engineer to work within a team for a reputable civil engineering main contractor. This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading contractor with a direct route to further your career.
The Role:
- Production of competitive and realistic tender plans, programmes and contract programmes for roadworks, marine, rail, utilities and treatment plants
- Understand project, scope of works and restrictions imposed by contractual requirements and site conditions
- Identifying and selecting the appropriate techniques & sequence of events for each project including temporary works
- Incorporating production outputs, draw up and present plans / programmes
- Production of resource loaded programmes as required
- Writing method statements, incorporating graphics as required
- Attend tender meetings and present tender plan and programme
- Attending and presenting at client interviews
- Ensure project team is fully briefed and issued with copies of tender plan and programme at Estimator’s handover meeting
Requirements:
- 3+ years’ experience in a similar role; main contracting experience desirable
- Civil Engineering or Construction related degree essential
- NEC3 programming experience (desirable)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Possess the ability to work well as part of a team
- Excellent analytical and time management skills
- Have excellent computer skills using Microsoft Office and Planning software such as Primavera P6, Tilos or Microsoft Project
