Procurement Lead / Manager

Dublin, Ireland

€65,000 – €80,000 + Package

3D Personnel are working alongside a well-respected Irish main contractor. Due to their continuous growth, they are actively seeking an experienced Procurement Lead/Manager to join their Dublin Head office based team on a permanent basis.

As a key member of the Head Office team, reporting to Senior Management, the Procurement Specialist will be responsible for the day to day running of the Procurement Department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procuring full range of building materials, prelim materials including order production.
  • Key strategic decision making related to procurement in line with the finance department.
  • Processing material orders, control of Construction materials and Plant and tool hire.
  • Assisting the Project Commercial teams in preparing buying schedules.
  • Developing relationships with key Suppliers & Subcontractors.
  • Visiting suppliers to develop product knowledge and relationships with key personnel.
  • Liaising with suppliers and in house personnel to resolve accounts queries.
  • Visiting construction sites on a regular basis to discuss and monitor the requirements.
  • Oversee all material procurement matters.
  • Monitor Suppliers performance through site feedback forms.
  • Monitor price movements and trends.
  • Produce monthly reports on purchasing performance.
  • Negotiating terms and conditions within agreed parameters.

Requirements Include:

  • 4+ years of demonstrable experience in the procurement of construction materials with a wide range of product range of product knowledge.
  • Expertise in managing complex/sensitive negotiations and conversations with suppliers.
  • Organizational skills.
  • Detail orientated skills.
  • Efficient time management skills.
  • Stakeholder and partnering skills including an effective collaboration Willingness to influence win/win outcomes with suppliers, business partners, and upper management.
  • Problem-solving capability.
  • Tolerance for ambiguity in a highly fluid work environment.
  • Willingness to embrace change.
  • Willingness to take initiative, assume ownership, and drive result.
  • Excellent IT skills with Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
  • A working knowledge of COINS procurement is a plus.
