3D Personnel are working alongside a well-respected Irish main contractor. Due to their continuous growth, they are actively seeking an experienced Procurement Lead/Manager to join their Dublin Head office based team on a permanent basis.
As a key member of the Head Office team, reporting to Senior Management, the Procurement Specialist will be responsible for the day to day running of the Procurement Department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Procuring full range of building materials, prelim materials including order production.
- Key strategic decision making related to procurement in line with the finance department.
- Processing material orders, control of Construction materials and Plant and tool hire.
- Assisting the Project Commercial teams in preparing buying schedules.
- Developing relationships with key Suppliers & Subcontractors.
- Visiting suppliers to develop product knowledge and relationships with key personnel.
- Liaising with suppliers and in house personnel to resolve accounts queries.
- Visiting construction sites on a regular basis to discuss and monitor the requirements.
- Oversee all material procurement matters.
- Monitor Suppliers performance through site feedback forms.
- Monitor price movements and trends.
- Produce monthly reports on purchasing performance.
- Negotiating terms and conditions within agreed parameters.
Requirements Include:
- 4+ years of demonstrable experience in the procurement of construction materials with a wide range of product range of product knowledge.
- Expertise in managing complex/sensitive negotiations and conversations with suppliers.
- Organizational skills.

- Efficient time management skills.
- Stakeholder and partnering skills including an effective collaboration Willingness to influence win/win outcomes with suppliers, business partners, and upper management.
- Problem-solving capability.

- Excellent IT skills with Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
- A working knowledge of COINS procurement is a plus.
