3D Personnel are working with a well-established and highly respected food manufacturing business in the Northwest to recruit a Maintenance Engineer.

The Opportunity
As Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide range of production machinery and process equipment while supporting preventative maintenance programmes across the site. You will work closely with production teams to minimise downtime, improve operational performance, and uphold the highest standards of safety and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities
* Diagnose and repair faults across production machinery and automated equipment.
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities.
* Ensure accurate maintenance records are maintained for compliance and reporting purposes.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant efficiency and reliability.
* Assist with maintenance of site facilities and infrastructure.
* Work collaboratively with production personnel to prioritise and resolve maintenance issues.
* Maintain engineering stores and spare parts inventory.
* Support equipment training and safe operating procedures for production staff.
* Adhere to all Health & Safety, Environmental, and Food Safety standards.
Candidate Requirements
Essential
* Recognised Electrical Engineering qualification or completed electrical apprenticeship.
* Previous maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment.
* Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capabilities across electrical and mechanical systems.
* Good understanding of preventative maintenance practices.
* Excellent communication skills and a strong command of the English language.
* Demonstrated stability and longevity within previous employment.
Desirable
* Experience within food manufacturing, FMCG, or regulated production environments.
* Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies.
* Experience working with automated production equipment and control systems.
Package & Benefits
* Salary: €45,000
* Shift Premium: 12% on evening shift
* Monday to Friday working pattern (39-hour week)
* Overtime paid at:
o Time & a half after 39 hours
o Saturday: Time & a half until 1pm, double time thereafter
o Sunday: Double time (rarely required)
