Vacancy: Junior Estimator

Location: Dublin

Salary: €35K + package 


3D Personnel's client are an expanding Fit Out Contracting Company, firmly established as a quality provider of design and build solutions in Ireland, UK & Mainland Europe. The company has over 20 years of practical experience in:

• Commercial: Office & Commercial Workplace solutions

• Retail: High street & Mall environments

• Hospitality: Restaurants, Bars & Hotels

• Residential: Developer led & bespoke

3D Personnel’s client is currently seeking Junior Estimator to join the team.

Responsibilities at the role will include:

  • Compiling estimates, budgets and cost plans
  • Thorough measurement of facades and penalisation of schemes
  • Thorough review of tender documents, drawings, specifications and contracts 
  • Assessing material, labour and equipment costs
  • Analysing different quotes from sub-contractors and suppliers
  • Preparation of documentation
  • Compiling Quality Tender Submissions
  • Pre, Mid, Post Tender meetings 
  • Cost advice to Architects, PQS, Developers
  • Dealing with clients Pre & Post Sales
  • Working alongside Sales and Marketing Colleagues
  • Reporting to Commercial Director / Senior Estimators
  • Interfacing and dealing with other departments

The key requirements of the role are 

  • 3rd Level qualification in related discipline (Quantity Surveying / Construction Economics Degree/Diploma)
  • A background with interiors/fit-out would be a distinct advantage
  • Good knowledge of contracts, relevant legislation etc.
  • Drawings, plans knowledge
  • 2+ years estimating experience in the fields of interior/fitout
  • The ability to work independently and to manage inputs from other departments/subcontractors etc.
  • Good interpersonal and team-working skills
  • Good computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel, Word and drawing software
